You'll stay in traditional riads in the imperial cities (Rabat, Fes, Marrakech), comfortable hotels in the valleys, and a luxury desert camp in the Sahara with private tents, proper beds, and bathroom facilities. All accommodations include breakfast.

We recommend packing: comfortable walking shoes, light layers for warm days, a warm jacket for cool desert nights and mountain passes, sunscreen and sunglasses, a hat or scarf for sun protection, modest clothing for visiting religious sites (covering shoulders and knees), a camera with extra batteries, personal toiletries, any necessary medications, and cash for tips and personal expenses. Cancellation policies vary depending on how far in advance you cancel. Generally, cancellations made more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund minus a small processing fee. Cancellations made 15-30 days before departure incur a 50% charge, and cancellations made less than 15 days before departure incur a 100% charge. Tipping is customary in Morocco but not mandatory. As a general guideline, budget approximately €5-10 per day for your driver, €10-15 per day for local guides, and small amounts for restaurant staff and hotel porters.
